Milk thistle is an herbal remedy derived from the milk thistle plant, also known as Silybum marianum.

DANDELIONS

Although most people think of dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) as a  weed, the plant has long been used in herbal medicine to aid in digestion and help stimulate appetite. The entire dandelion plant from root to blossom is edible.

 When used for medicine, the dried or fresh root can be made into teas, tinctures, infusions, and poultices. 

In traditional Chinese and Native American medicine, dandelion root has long been used to treat stomach and liver conditions. Herbalists today believe that it can aid in the treatment of many ailments, including acne, eczema, high cholesterol, heartburn, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, and even cancer.
ELDERBERRY
At sites in Switzerland and Italy, researchers have uncovered evidence that the elderberry may have been cultivated by prehistoric man. There are also recipes for elderberry-based medications in the records dating as far back as Ancient Egypt where some Ancient Egyptians even had the tincture buried with them. Historians, however, generally trace the tradition of the elderberry’s healing power back to Hippocrates, the ancient Greek known as the “father of medicine,” who described this plant as his “medicine chest” for the wide variety of ailments it seemed to cure.. Amber is a coniferous resin that has been known for many years, In folk medicine it was used for preventive purposes. It is believed that amber tincture can have healing effects on respiratory tract diseases, gastrointestinal complaints, headaches and rheumatic pains. It also has very beneficial effects on the work of the thyroid gland. Amber tincture is made by adding to 95% spirit. Amber does not dissolve in the spirit but releases microscopic particles, colouring the spirit to a golden brown. When ready it should be rubbed on the painful places on the body. Amber tincture has strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Good to use to relieve muscle and bone pain.

Elderflower - Health Benefits  

Elder flower has been used in traditional medicine all over the world in many different cultures due to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. The most common uses are for colds and flu, sinus infections, and other respiratory disturbances. As a supplement, elder flower also has diuretic and laxative properties and is helpful in relieving occasional constipation. Elder  flower has antibacterial and antiviral properties and may also help alleviate some allergies and boost the functioning of the immune system. Topically, elder flower might help reduce pain and swelling in joints due to some forms of arthritis and is used to stop bleeding. As an oral rinse, elder flower can be used for its antiseptic properties as a mouthwash and gargle. Elder flower also reduces blood sugar levels, very similar to the way insulin works.
